With a wide range of services – from shipping, crew, nautical, and technical management to hospitality & catering, safety & security, ship financing, charter brokerage, insurance management, newbuild and conversion support, and ship ICT – we support our customers in all areas of passenger inland waterway transport.
Yourresponsibilities– ShapethefutureofRiver Advice:
* Maintenance of financial accounting (general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, fixed asset accounting, accruals and deferrals)
* Independent and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR) and/or Swiss GAAP FER, including budget vs. actual analysis
* Assistance with tax declaration
* Preparation for and support during audits; point of contact for the auditor and tax authorities
* Ad hoc reports and analyses
* Acting as a representative in the processing of payment transactions
Yourprofil–Whatyoubringtothetable:
* Completed basic commercial training (EFZ) or equivalent training
* Continuing education in finance and accounting, e.g., a professional certificate in finance and accounting, a certified public accountant with a federal professional certificate, or currently pursuing such a qualification
* Several years of proven professional experience in financial accounting, ideally as a chief accountant or at a trust company
* Proficiency in Swiss accounting and tax law (CO, Swiss GAAP FER, and/or IFRS)
* Experience in dealing with auditors and government agencies is a plus
* Written and spoken German and English
* Ability to work independently and meticulously, a sense of responsibility, reliability, initiative, and the ability to think analytically and holistically
* Proficiency in Common M365 Programs
* Ideally, you have experience with SAP Business One and Lucanet
