Job Description Your Mission &#;As a Domain Architect for the Ricardo Platform, part of the General Marketplace Business Unit, you will own and evolve the architectural vision of Switzerland’s leading online auction marketplace. This is a high-impact role where you will shape the future of a platform handling close to CHF 1 billion in transactions annually.You’ll translate business strategy into scalable technical design, help teams implement architectural best practices, and ensure cohesion across contexts like listing, selling, buying, and payments.We’re on a journey to modernise a beloved platform — and we need your expertise to guide it. Specifically, you will:Design and evolve the Ricardo domain architecture using Domain-Driven Design (DDD)Define subdomain structures and ensure architectural coherence across teamsTranslate business goals into a long-term technical roadmapCollaborate with Team Architects, Engineering Managers, and Product Leads to align strategy and deliveryLead domain-wide modernisation initiatives such as authentication revamps or event-driven architectureEvaluate new technologies, run PoCs, and introduce innovations that improve developer experience and system scalabilityPromote a culture of learning by mentoring engineers and facilitating architectural workshopsYour responsibilities will evolve as we grow.
