Talent Acquisition Professional at Capgemini Engineering
We are seeking a Senior R&D Power Electronics Engineer to join our Medium Voltage Drives R&D team. This team is responsible for designing and developing advanced Medium Voltage Power Electronics Frequency Converters for applications across marine, wind, water, oil & gas, food, metals, and mining industries. You will play a key role in developing a new product family of MV Drives Frequency Converters.
Responsibilities
* Lead system design, specification, testing, and qualification of main components and sub-systems for a new family of MV frequency converters.
* Drive all development phases, from conceptual design using simulation tools to final validation in R&D labs, with a strong focus on MV component qualification and supplier collaboration.
* Contribute to maintaining and expanding Power Electronics expertise within the team.
Requirements
* Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Electronics and High Power/Medium Voltage applications.
* Proven experience in Power Electronics System Design and Development; expertise in High Power and MV converters is a strong advantage.
* Solid knowledge of modeling, simulation, and system design tools.
* Hands‑on experience in testing and validation in MV lab environments; component qualification expertise is highly desirable.
* Passion for applied R&D, self‑driven, and collaborative mindset.
* Excellent communication skills; fluency in English (German is a plus).
