Eurpeople’s customer, for a major pharmaceutical, is seeking an experienced SAP SCM (MM/PP-PI/QM) Consultant to join its ongoing assignment in Basel, Switzerland.
Candidates are required to have between 5 and 8 years of hands-on, project-based SAP SCM (MM/PP-PI/QM) experience gained on actual projects. Standard customizing, configuration, and project lifecycle implementation skills within SAP SCM and its core sub-modules MM/PP-PI/QM are required.
Candidates with pharmaceutical-related processes and industry experience will have a distinct advantage.
Key responsibilities:
1. Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements. Translate business needs into applicable functional specifications via leading prototyping and fit-gap approaches.
2. Design, build, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance existing system functionalities; develop new features per business requirements.
3. Create system documentation, including functional and technical specifications, installation scripts, OQs/PQs, test plans, and scripts.
4. Responsible for installation of new systems and new releases into maintenance and productive environments, following SDLC and change management procedures.
5. Ensure validation, audit, and legal compliance of systems throughout their lifecycle.
6. Support business in creation of SOPs, Work Instructions, Training, etc., as needed.
7. Provide content knowledge on Incident, Problem, and Change management processes to appropriate IT teams.
8. Develop and evaluate ideas, options, and solutions. Collaborate with other IT teams to implement solutions that optimize operational performance.
9. Coordinate activities for small-to-medium changes; perform system administration and provide 2nd/3rd level support.
10. Support upgrades – support packs, enhancement packs, system-wide, database, etc.
11. Drive process improvement initiatives to optimize user experience and business understanding of solutions.
