SummaryMESH is hiring a Sales Director to lead the next growth phase by building predictable revenue through a mix of direct enterprise selling and distribution/partner channels. You’ll work closely with the CEO during a gradual handover of commercial ownership.MESH is a highly technical team, so this role is ideal for someone who can translate complex technology into business outcomes through consultative, technical sales.About MESHMESH is a robotics startup based in Birr (AG), Switzerland, dedicated to automating rebar construction. We enable the industry to use robots to autonomously handle, place, and join rebar.Unlike traditional automation lines, construction requires high flexibility to manage altering geometries, varying batch sizes, and construction tolerances. We achieve this adaptability by combining advanced software, computer vision, and robotic manipulation specifically designed for rebar construction.Our systems are currently deployed in prefabrication environments, successfully shifting production from manual labor to autonomous systems.TasksWhat you’ll ownRevenue ownership & pipeline creation across priority regions (with strong emphasis on Europe and expansion-ready international markets).Partner & distribution strategy: recruit, enable, and grow distributors/partners; define rules of engagement for direct vs partner-led deals.Key account growth: develop strategic accounts, manage stakeholder groups, and drive multi-step buying processes.Commercial operating system: ICP, segmentation, playbooks, funnel stages, forecasting, CRM discipline, and data-driven decision making.Scale foundation: over time, hire and lead the first sales resources and create a repeatable GTM motion.ResponsibilitiesBuild and execute your global territory & channel plan.Run end-to-end enterprise cycles: discovery, solutioning with technical team, proposal, negotiation, closing, expansion.Develop distribution performance: partner selection, onboarding, joint pipeline, quarterly business reviews, performance improvement.Create executive-ready business cases / ROI narratives and commercial models that help buyers justify the decision.Provide structured market feedback to Product/Engineering (requirements, objections, competitive intel, pricing packaging signals).RequirementsMust-have traitsDrive + ownership: you move fast, travel when needed, and take full responsibility for outcomes.Proven success in B2B / technical sales where credibility and practical customer understanding matter.Strong capability in building and managing distributor/partner networks across multiple countries.Consultative selling mindset: diagnose problems, quantify impact, propose solutions, and align stakeholders.Highly data-literate: uses analysis to identify opportunities, prioritize markets, and build practical go-to-market plans.Comfortable operating in an early-stage, evolving environment (product still maturing, messaging iterating, ambiguity is normal).English is essential.Ideal backgroundTrack record in industry / industrial ecosystems.Prior exposure to corporate environments that helps navigate enterprise procurement and long decision chains—while still acting like an owner.BenefitsWhy MESHCommercial Ownership: Define the strategy and own the global revenue target alongside the CEO.Market Advantage: Sell superior robotic solutions specifically targeted to the rebar industry.Global Scope: Build and manage the distribution network across Europe and international markets.Equity Upside: Competitive salary plus ESOP ownership in a high-growth startup.
