Ph3Scientist - Nuclear Fuel Behavior Analysis and Development /h3 pFor the Reactor Physics and Thermal‑Hydraulics Laboratory we are looking for a scientist specializing in nuclear fuel behavior analysis and development. /p h3Your tasks /h3 ul liDevelopment of nuclear fuel performance codes, including both established methodologies and high-fidelity approaches /li liModelling and simulation of standard and advanced fuel concepts, covering operational, transient, accident, and storage scenarios /li liVerification and validation of models, methods, and computational tools using international benchmark data and post‑irradiation examinations, and experimental measurements /li liTechnical support to the regulator through independent assessments and expert review of fuel related safety questions /li liParticipation in international activities, preparation of research proposals, publication of scientific articles and supervision of students /li /ul h3Your profile /h3 ul liPhD degree in nuclear engineering (or related discipline) /li liStrong background and interest in nuclear fuel behaviour, fuel performance modelling, and materials under irradiation /li liSolid experience with fuel performance codes (e.g., FRAPCON/FRAPTRAN, TRANSURANUS, FALCON, BISON, OFFBEAT etc.) /li liExperience with validation, benchmarking, and interpretation of fuel related experimental results /li liHigh proficiency in programming and scripting capabilities /li liGood knowledge of numerical methods for scientific computing /li liFamiliarity with regulator‑oriented analysis workflows is a plus /li /ul h3We offer /h3 pOur institution is based on interdisciplinary, innovative, and dynamic collaboration.
