Director, Consulting Services Sales (Pharmaceutical or Healthcare) – Switzerland (or Border countries including Southern Germany)
About the Role
The Director, Consulting Services Sales for Sustainability Industry (preferably in Pharmaceutical or Healthcare) is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key buyers of consulting services, generating leads, and supporting sales pursuits within a defined set of accounts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in consulting sales, a willingness to understand ERM’s service offerings and value propositions, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to pursue and win new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Build relationships with key decision-makers and economic buyers at assigned accounts to understand their strategies and priorities, identify opportunities, and manage sales processes to closure. Qualify and develop a robust sales pipeline (targeting 3x sales goals).
* Coordinate activities with service and industry teams, client engagement teams, and marketing to develop tailored consulting solutions. Manage accounts, renewals, cross-sales, and growth opportunities.
* Assist in proposal development, emphasizing ERM’s value proposition, differentiators, and win themes.
* Develop and monitor lead generation plans and activities. Report on sales activities, client feedback, and market trends.
* Represent ERM at conferences and industry events.
* Identify opportunities to improve the sales process, including cost and pricing strategies for services.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, marketing, or equivalent; minimum of ten years in selling professional services in complex sales environments.
* Proven success in driving professional services sales through hunting and relationship building, with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding targets.
* Industry and regional market knowledge, preferably in environmental resource management and sustainability consulting.
* Experience in identifying, initiating, and nurturing new and existing business opportunities, with proficiency in CRM tools.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster trust and long-term relationships.
* Willingness to travel as needed.
