This position can be based in either St Gallen, Switzerland or in Cyprus.

Due to company growth, we are looking for the next key hire to our Finance Team – our new IFRS Reporting Manager. Reporting to the Head of Controlling, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and submission of financial reports, including the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
You will ensure accurate financial reporting, interpret complex accounting standards, and provide strategic insights to senior management. As our IFRS Reporting Manager, you will collaborate with internal departments and external auditors, manage reporting timelines, and ensure adherence to regulatory and corporate policies. A key focus of your role is to maintain the integrity of financial data and support the Company in understanding the implications of IFRS on business decisions.
What you’ll do:
IFRS Reporting
* Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
* Ensure timely and accurate reporting across all entities and business units.
* Manage the external audit process and act as the primary liaison with external auditors.
Technical Accounting
* Monitor changes to IFRS standards and assess their impact on Geoquip’s reporting.
* Provide technical accounting guidance to the finance team and business leaders.
* Maintain and develop IFRS accounting policies and documentation.
Internal Controls & Compliance
* Strengthen internal control processes related to financial reporting.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with accounting and regulatory standards.
Stakeholder Communication
* Work closely with the Head of Controlling, CFO, and key stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial reports.
* Support internal teams with ad hoc financial analysis and IFRS-related queries.
Process Improvement
* Drive automation and continuous improvement of the financial reporting process.
* Collaborate with the finance systems team to optimise reporting tools.
Who We’re Looking For:
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is essential—an advanced degree (Master’s) is a strong plus.
* A proven track record in a post-qualification role with a strong focus on IFRS reporting.
* Hands-on experience with IFRS, financial consolidation, systems, and leading reporting tools.
* Exposure to working in multinational environments or with international clients through top-tier audit firms is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated expertise in preparing financial statements and managing end-to-end audit processes.
* A natural problem solver with sharp analytical thinking and exceptional communication skills.
* Proven ability to juggle competing priorities, manage tight deadlines, and deliver results under pressure.
* Prior experience in offshore, maritime, or engineering services sectors would be an advantage.
* Familiarity with private equity-backed environments and the unique reporting requirements they entail is a bonus.
* Comfortable operating in complex multinational group structures, including managing cross-border intercompany transactions.
