Online Nutrition Faculty
This faculty position involves teaching online undergraduate nutrition courses, including Introduction to Nutrition. The ideal candidate will provide quality instruction to students through well-prepared classes, relevant assignments, and fair assessments of learning.
Main Responsibilities:
* Teach assigned contact hours per semester.
* Adequately prepare for lessons.
* Provide clear course expectations, evaluations, and timelines through topical outlines and approved syllabus.
* Design interesting and relevant assignments that demonstrate learning outcomes in a real-life setting.
* Support and communicate with students to encourage their participation and learning.
* Respond to student questions on a timely basis.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate quality online classroom management techniques.
* Provide quality assessment of student work with substantive feedback.
* Engage in pedagogical practices that encourage student success and excellence.
* Incorporate faith-based discussions in class forums.
Requirements:
* Master's degree from an accredited U.S. college/university in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
* Prior teaching experience, specifically with online populations.
* Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Faith-Based Commitment:The ideal candidate must be a thoughtful and articulate Christian and an active member of a Protestant evangelical Christian church. Preference will be given to the candidate who supports and has an articulate understanding of the Reformed faith.
