We are seeking an experienced Hypervisor Engineer to join a long-term infrastructure modernization and operations program within highly secure, isolated ("Dark Site") environments. This role combines hands-on engineering, technical consulting, and project delivery across virtualization, storage, backup, and converged infrastructure technologies.
You will work on the design, implementation, optimization, and support of enterprise-grade platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and security within mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical consulting and hands‑on implementation for infrastructure and virtualization projects.
* Design, deploy, configure, and maintain VMware‑based virtualized environments.
* Manage and optimize VMware NSX network virtualization and micro‑segmentation solutions.
* Implement and support enterprise backup and recovery solutions using Veeam Backup & Replication.
* Install, configure, and maintain Dell and Cisco server infrastructures.
* Support Hyper‑Converged Infrastructure (HCI) environments based on Dell VxRail.
* Administer and optimize NetApp storage platforms and related technologies.
* Perform infrastructure lifecycle management, upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning.
* Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across compute, network, virtualization, storage, and backup layers.
* Ensure stability, performance, security, and compliance within isolated "Dark Site" environments.
* Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and architecture diagrams.
* Collaborate with project managers, architects, and operational teams to deliver infrastructure initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Profile
* Several years of hands‑on experience as a Hypervisor Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Virtualization Engineer.
* Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
* Experience working in highly secured, isolated, or regulated environments is highly advantageous.
* Ability to work independently while engaging effectively with stakeholders and project teams.
* Strong documentation and communication skills.
