Who we’re looking for
The Financial Analyst within the Operations Solutions & Analytics team at Schroders Capital plays a vital role in supporting the financial planning and analysis needs of our private equity funds and mandates. Responsibilities involve ensuring cash flow projections and performance forecasting are accurate and efficient. You will support planning efforts for commitments and exposure modelling. You will also develop detailed revenue forecasts and pricing scenarios for new products. The role also involves participating in the client reporting process and maintaining compliance with regulatory reporting standards. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams, including operations implementation, operational excellence and client reporting, to support and enhance product initiatives, drive innovation and improve operational efficiency through data‑driven insights and modern analytical approaches. With a strong emphasis on data accuracy, analytical precision and continuous improvement, this role is essential for developing scalable, forward‑looking solutions that support the complex financial needs typical of private equity operations.
What you’ll do
* Assist in the preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), providing financial insights and data to support proposals
* Respond to ad‑hoc requests concerning historical and future product performance, financial data, revenues, fundraising activities and AuM, with a focus on streamlining recurring analyses and improving turnaround times
* Participate in internal and external client reporting efforts by ensuring the accurate and timely dissemination of financial data and analyses
* Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, preparing necessary documentation and submissions
* Build and maintain predictive waterfall models for private equity funds to forecast cash flow and performance
* Conduct commitment planning and exposure modelling to optimise fund allocations for clients
* Prepare detailed revenue forecasts and scenario analysis for new products, including management fees and carried interest
* Support the pricing of products by conducting thorough financial analyses and scenario modelling
* Collaborate across teams, finding opportunities for workflow optimisation, automation and the thoughtful application of AI‑enabled tools
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management or a related field; or equivalent experience
* Strong understanding of private equity operations, including fund structures and performance measurements
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; experience with User‑Defined Tools (UDT) systems and Power BI is highly preferred, and familiarity with eFront is advantageous
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and convincingly
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
* Attention to detail balanced with a continuous‑improvement approach
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, focusing on enhancing product initiatives and operational strategies
* Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
