Principal Digital IC Design Engineer (Semiconductor) - Switzerland - Hybrid
A forward thinking semiconductor company is seeking to bolster its team with an experienced Principal Digital Design Engineer. This role will involve leading the design and development of digital IPs for products, ensuring robust, scalable, and high‑quality implementations, and mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities
* Architect, specify, implement, simulate, and benchmark digital IPs, including control peripherals, MCU/DSP subsystems, and hardware accelerators.
* Lead technical project activities while mentoring and guiding junior and mid‑level engineers.
* Drive continuous improvements in design methodology, flow efficiency, and overall IP quality and robustness.
* Collaborate closely with product integration teams to define requirements and support successful integration into semiconductor products.
* Act as a senior technical contributor and advisor throughout the IP and system development lifecycle.
Requirements
* Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
* 15+ years of experience in semiconductor product and digital IC development.
* Proven expertise in digital control peripherals, MCU/DSP systems, and hardware accelerator IPs, including RTL design in SystemVerilog/Verilog.
* Strong background in design quality, methodology improvement, and design intents (e.g., DFMEA, SDC, UPF, design releases).
* Excellent technical documentation and communication skills in English, with eligibility to work in Switzerland.
