Position
The Field Service Engineer will be part of the Inpeco Customer Success Team, based at our headquarters in Novazzano, Switzerland. This role involves supporting clients and partners with automation products, performing on-site installations, upgrades, and training, and traveling globally to support key clients and partners.
Main responsibilities include:
* Participating in the installation, configuration, testing, and start-up of laboratory automation systems;
* Providing remote and on-site technical support to clients and partners;
* Analyzing the performance and workflow of installed systems periodically;
* Handling customer complaints and technical issues;
* Delivering technical/application training to clients and partners;
* Producing and updating training materials;
* Supporting the Inpeco technical hotline on duty.
Requirements
Candidates should have:
* A proven electromechanical background;
* Ability to interpret electrical drawings and knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems;
* Experience in healthcare automation or related fields is a plus;
* Skills in log analysis and troubleshooting hardware, firmware, and software issues;
* Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities;
* Proficiency in Italian and fluency in English;
* Creative thinking, challenge to the status quo, and pragmatic proposals;
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working across cultures;
* Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities;
* Willingness to travel 70-80% of the time.
