Job Description
The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) develops and leads the execution of sales strategies to increase revenue, wallet share, and profitability with assigned National Accounts. Key customer segments may include national banks, finance companies, equipment rental companies, contractors, fleet operators, and other institutional asset owners. The SAM is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships at all levels of the customer organization, with a primary focus on key decision‑makers. This role drives sales by creating and managing comprehensive programs tailored to align with each customer’s business objectives and bidadoo’s strategic goals. The SAM will persuasively communicate our online auction and remarketing value proposition, solutions, and support services. This position requires proactive communication internally and externally, along with thorough follow‑up on all sales and service opportunities to drive growth and deliver an exceptional customer experience. The SAM will aggressively source new business opportunities for our weekly auctions and marketplace through networking, social media outreach, participation in industry events and trade shows, training programs, and other strategic business development activities.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a strategic account plan to effectively manage assigned customers, driving revenue growth and profitability.
* Document account requirements, identify key stakeholders, and implement successful account management plans in collaboration with bidadoo sales, production, and operations teams.
* Drive revenue through fees associated with our professional auction, remarketing, and consignment services, clearly demonstrating the value and advantages of partnering with bidadoo.
* Prepare purchase bids, analyze portfolios, and value equipment and assets to maximize returns for customers.
* Provide guidance to customers on asset strategy, equipment valuation, and optimal sales timing.
* Work closely with third‑party vendors for repossession, transportation, storage, inspection, and related services to ensure customer needs are met efficiently and professionally.
* Prepare professional proposals, program agreements, and terms of sale, coordinating internal approvals and submission.
* Deliver tailored presentations and solutions highlighting our remarketing services and best‑fit strategies.
* Engage customers through training, marketing initiatives, event participation, and proactive communication to strengthen brand presence and long‑term partnerships.
* Build strong cross‑functional relationships with AMS, production, seller services, and other internal teams to ensure seamless execution and customer retention.
* Utilize CRM and company tools to accurately document activities, track opportunities, and communicate with stakeholders.
* Champion bidadoo’s values and brand promise by delivering a consistently high‑quality customer experience.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Finance, or related field
* 5–10 years of sales or account management experience with major accounts
* Proven track record of year‑over‑year sales growth, budget attainment, and customer retention
* Experience developing and executing marketing plans within the equipment industry or related sectors
* Proficiency with Google Workspace, Salesforce (CRM), and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
* Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills
* Strong negotiation, persuasion, financial analysis, and problem‑solving skills
Preferred Experience
* Background in new and used equipment sales, equipment rental, business valuation/appraisal consulting, asset management, equipment auctions, or financial services
* Experience working with national banks, finance companies, or institutional asset portfolios
* Managing regional or national accounts with multiple decision‑makers
* Familiarity with internet technologies and online sales platforms
Home office‑based with up to 70% travel.
Compensation
Base salary, bonus program, company vehicle, medical, 401K and paid vacation.
