Job Description
Mission
* Assess and manage reputational, transactional, and credit risks related to transactions.
* Raise early warning signals to mitigate potential risks.
* Ensure quality of service to clients and effectiveness of first-line controls.
* Identify commercial opportunities and originate transactions within the allocated portfolio.
* Assist Relationship Managers in structuring credit facilities and related sub-limits.
* Support and coach Transaction Managers in daily tasks.
* Approve client instructions and coordinate with supporting functions.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
The Senior TM reports to the TMO Team Lead and manages a portfolio with complex clients. It involves collaboration with Transaction Officers and Managers, with the ability to back-up any client on the desk.
Transactions Management
* Assess risks related to transactions (credit, operational, compliance, fraud, etc.).
* Prepare Transaction sheets for credit approval, ensuring necessary documentation and approvals.
* Ensure transactions comply with ING standards and credit conditions.
* Coordinate execution of transactions with support functions.
* Manage treasury activities, including loans, deposits, and foreign exchange.
* Monitor client positions, margin, price risks, and early warning signals.
Client Relationship
* Engage with clients on financing requests and maintain strong relationships.
* Identify and develop commercial opportunities.
Team and Risk Management
* Develop knowledge of all desk credit facilities.
* Act as back-up and assist colleagues.
* Ensure compliance with risk, operational, and anti-fraud standards.
Communication
Coordinate internally with various departments and externally with clients, brokers, and shipping lines.
