High School Teacher – English, Math, French (Part‑time)
Employment Type: Casual Part‑time
Pay: $18.00 – $19.00 per hour
Location: Oxford Learning Fletchers Meadow, Brampton (in‑person)
We are seeking an enthusiastic French‑speaking teacher to support students in English, Math, and French. The role involves teaching small groups of up to three students, providing guidance in the provided curriculum, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities
* Conduct classroom sessions in French with students up to Grade 12, ensuring clear instruction and engagement.
* Teach up to three students at a time across different proficiency levels.
* Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
* Complete post‑lesson notes and daily student communication updates.
* Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
Qualifications
Education
* Bachelor’s degree or comparable certification in a relevant field.
* Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered.
* Teaching certification is an asset.
* Good knowledge of the current Grade 9‑12 French core curriculum.
Experience
* Experience teaching or tutoring French at Grade 9‑12 level.
* Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and French.
* Ability to multitask and manage up to three students simultaneously.
Schedule
* Evenings (4:00 pm – 8:00 pm) Monday to Friday.
* Saturday sessions (11:00 am – 3:00 pm).
* Commitment to the full school year is preferred; summer extension is a plus.
