Founding Head of Sales/BD - EU transport & logistics

We’re building the future of sustainable freight. We're on a mission to cut fuel costs, emissions, and eliminate engine idling by retrofitting solar-powered battery systems on the EU's heavy-duty fleet.
We’ve validated the tech, built cost models, and are moving toward deployment. We're looking for a founding Head of Sales to drive industry adoption among trucking and logistics companies in the EU.
The Role:
You will bridge the gap between our product and the EU's fleet of long-haul trucking operators. You’ll own our go-to-market strategy, from initial outreach to signed contracts, while also working closely with the founders (ex-commodities, ex-logistics, ex-IT) and early partners as we move towards scalable production.
This is a ground-floor role that's ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, is fluent in logistics, and knows how to earn the trust of conservative, cost-conscious operators.
Responsibilities:
* build and execute our sales playbook across the EU, starting with DACH and branching out
* identify and bring aboard high-potential fleet operators and logistics partners
* pitch our retrofit solutions with a compelling story around ROI and sustainability
* establish and help manage pilot projects, working closely with the leadership team to ensure success
* track key client-side metrics (payback, emissions saved, maintenance avoided, etc.)
* hire, coach, and build our sales team as we scale
* help represent our company in trade shows, industry events, and in the field
* close initial deals and build our future sales pipeline
Qualifications:
* must-have: significant B2B sales experience in logistics/transport, fleet, and/or parts sales
* must speak English and either German or French - any other EU languages are a plus
* contacts within the EU trucking industry and an understanding of the terminology and business priorities
* comfortable selling into everyone from small shops to mid-size fleets to enterprise-level multinationals
* expertise in sustainability and/or decarbonization is a plus
