The Role We are looking for a talented Business Development Manager to focus on strategic market development for Wormhole. Reporting to the Head of Growth at the Wormhole Foundation, you will own the full-deal cycle and will be actively involved in the optimization and execution of inbound/outbound lead strategies. Your work will be instrumental in identifying potential opportunities across the industry and in building and maintaining strong relationships with projects looking to use Wormhole.
What You Will Do
Manage, evaluate, and triage relationships with inbound leads as the first point of contact.
Optimize processes and strategies for lead focus, management, and generation.
Conduct strategic outbound activities, initiating contact with important prospects.
Source, identify, and proactively pursue promising opportunities.
Cultivate and develop expertise on Wormhole products.
Work cross-functionally to advance Wormhole’s leadership in blockchain interoperability.
Support and drive complex deal contracts and negotiations.
Who You Are
Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development or similar GTM role with a demonstrable track record.
At least 2 years in the web3 industry, preferably at an early-stage startup.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, familiar with web3 communication styles (e.g., Telegram, crypto vernacular).
Ability to quickly assess, identify, and effectively address potential partners’ pain points and value drivers.
Action-oriented, biased toward action while respecting team priorities.
Crypto native, with a meaningful understanding of crypto concepts, culture, and industry segments.
Superb time management skills, optimizing usage for yourself and your team.
Strong networker, capable of building and maintaining relationships with key industry players.
Autonomous, self-motivated, proactive in pursuing opportunities.
Strategic thinker, able to assess importance and accelerate opportunities accordingly.
Existing strong relationships in the industry.
Knowledge of various sectors within the blockchain ecosystem (e.g., DeFi, infrastructure).
Experience managing complex projects across stakeholders.
Ideally based in the Eastern Time Americas or European time zones.
