In this role, you will act as an expert within development projects, assessing performance risks and defining mitigation plans. You will be responsible for resolving performance issues and thereby contribute to the reliability of the MRO software solution AMOS, developed by Swiss AviationSoftware, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik.

What You Will Be Doing
* Act as an expert in development projects to assess performance risks and define mitigation plan
* Develop and extend monitoring and benchmarking tools
* Accountable for the resolution of performance issues
* Extend the knowledge base and develop internal competencies
* Support Performance Test Engineers in the development of tools to execute performance and load tests
* Scalability assessment of the architecture of a product or a customer environment
* Define the system resource requirements
What You Bring To The Job
* Degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering or similar scientific subject; or a comparable experience
* 5+ years experience in software development
* 2+ years experience in Performance Engineering and/or System Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering
* Understanding all levels of the system architecture (hardware, operation system, network, Java, databases, etc.)
* Strong SQL tuning know-how and database design
* Ability to fully understand Java code and architecture
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* In-depth knowledge of tools and techniques for analyzing and benchmarking operating systems, application/algorithm performance
* Effective teamwork and excellent interpersonal skills
* English: C2 – Proficient
