Senior Academic Associate UAS – Biotechnology (80‑100%)
Institut Informatique HES‑SO Valais‑Wallis invites applications for the Senior Academic Associate UAS – Biotechnology role (80‑100% workload), based in Sion. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching and research in Biotechnology at the Institute of Life Sciences.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the teaching in Biotechnology
Provide supervision, instruction, and mentorship to students throughout their educational journey
Undertake R&D projects and industrial assignments within the Institute of Life Sciences
Participate in the acquisition of R&D project mandates
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Bioprocess Engineering or related field; minimum of 5 years of professional experience in academia and industry in process development, biotechnological production, or related field
Background in biopharmaceutics, downstream processing, and process engineering
Proficiency in scientific programming and design and analysis of experiments
Project‑management experience; R&D project acquisition highly appreciated
Experience in molecular biology, formulation, teaching, and a solid publication track record considered advantageous
Fluency in English; proficiency in either French or German

Employment type: full‑time (80‑100%)
Location: Sion (1950 Sion)
Starting date: 1 June 2026 or to be agreed upon
