Full Stack Software Engineer (C#/WPF)
LS Instruments AG, a spin-off of the University of Fribourg, is a technology leader in the field of optical characterization of nanoparticles. LS Instruments develops advanced scientific instruments for analytical applications in life sciences, food, personal care, and many more.
Rising investments in the pharmaceutical industry, increasing regulatory requirements for medical products, and the recent successful launch of vaccines based on mRNA technology related to COVID-19 have led to a global increase in demand for high-precision nanoparticle analytical solutions.
In this context, we are seeking a dynamic individual to join us as a Full Stack Software Engineer to further develop our user-friendly software suite. This suite enables our end-users to perform measurements, as well as store and manage the collected experimental data.
Your role and responsibilities
Maintaining and adding new features to the main company software (e.g., adding new types of data treatment, exporting data and data analysis results in PDF reports, and so on).
Participating in the development of software architectures and the selection of technologies
Providing customer support at the third level of support
Documentation, versioning, and release
Your profile
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar, and be capable of working independently in cross-disciplinary teams. She/He should be able to contribute to the team effort as well as be self-motivated and proactive in concluding her/his assigned tasks according to the company goals. She/he should possess the following technical skills:
C#/WPF
Object-oriented programming and design patterns
GUI design and software usability
Object Relational Mapping
Source control
A good command of English, and French is advantageous
Swiss/EU citizenship or valid working permit for Switzerland
Experience in one or several of the following areas is advantageous:
Experience working in an agile environment (SCRUM)
RESTful and WebSocket service architectures
Azure DevOps (Continuous integration, Continuous delivery, sprint planning)
NHibernate / MVVM / Dependency Injection
Numerical computation and data treatment
Hardware communication and instrument control
