As a Sales Engineer you will cooperate closely with our Sales Executives to pursue and close opportunities. You are the technical expert in the relationship with international customers during the sales process, including service offerings, solution design and implementation. You are the interface between our internal teams to ensure that high quality is delivered, and success criteria are met.
Your first 3 months at Ontinue
* Get to know the Sales Engineering team and the Sales Executives you work closely with.
* Familiarise yourself with our Cybersecurity and Network Security service offerings soutien internal training and self‑learning.
* Support your regional Partner/Channel peers to discover new opportunities and build pipeline.
* Engage in discovery calls and early‑stage opportunities together with an experienced Sales Engineer for hands‑on learning.
* Understand the Ontinue value proposition and use it to challenge prospects and open up opportunities.
Your key responsibilities
* Assessment of customer security posture, needs andaithe technical requirements.
* Presentation of security services including live demos.
* Lead technical workshops and architecture sessions.
* Complete RFP responses and actively participate in RFP defense meetings along with the Product and Sales teams.-offset>
* Challenge and update customers’ outdated security approaches with our best‑practice solutions.
* Handover new customers to account management and delivery teams.
Required experience
The ideal candidate will bring the following
* A strong technical background in cybersecurity, including Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Sentinel and the broader Microsoft E5 Security stack.
* A solid understanding of core security domains: identity protection, endpoint security, cloud and network security.
* Experience developing and maintaining customer relationships.
* Familiarity with the DACH SOC landscape to support strategic customer consultations.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical value into business impact.
* Ability to work בד independently and collaboratively across teams.
* A willingness to travel for customer engagements and industry events.
Skills we are looking for
Must‑Have
* Native German speaker, fluent in written and verbal.
* Proven experience in a Sales Engineer or similar customer‑facing technical role, ideally within IT security.
Nice to haves
* Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
* Familiarity with the Microsoft cloud portfolio and the M365 E5 security suite, including Defender for Identity, Defender for Office 365, and Purview.
* Background in MXDR, MDR, or SOC services sales, with an understanding of operational models and customer needs.
* Experience selling platform‑led solutions, with the ability to position integrated value across multiple technologies and services. fortnightly>
