Electrical System Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical System Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanisms for space applications, including electrical requirements and harnesses.
You will review electrical requirements, provide compliance matrices, and justify statements of compliance. You will also participate in technical design reviews with suppliers and the customer chain.
Additionally, you will design and manage high-reliability Rigid-Flex PCBs using Siemens Xpedition or Altium Designer. You will define requirement specifications for space electronics and shadow engineering for space electronics.
You will prepare technical project offers, align with potential subcontractors/suppliers, and plan qualification and acceptance test campaigns. You will specify EGSEs and support during commissioning.
You will provide electrical support for non-conformances, participate in review boards, and investigate root-cause analysis. You will also provide technical documentation in English, including technical specifications, ICDs, PSA, WCA, and radiation analysis.
You will have experience in electronic circuit simulation using SPICE, MATLAB, Simulink, or other tools. You will have knowledge of radiation aspects like TID, SEE, etc., and understanding of space quality standards (ECSS / NASA / MIL) and EEE components.
You will work in a lab environment/clean rooms and have experience working on microelectronics, microprocessor, FPGA programming, and LabView. You will be proficient in English (spoken and written) and self-organized, proactive, able to manage multiple projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor, Master, or University degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
* Experience in the space industry is a strong asset.
* Proven experience in writing technical documentation.
* Experience with Siemens Xpedition and/or other PCB design tools is a strong asset.
* Knowledge of radiation aspects like TID, SEE, etc., is an asset.
* Experience with electronic circuit simulation using SPICE, MATLAB, Simulink, or other tools is a strong asset.
* Understanding of space quality standards (ECSS / NASA / MIL) and EEE components.
