The Role & What You Will Be Doing
Our Global Value & Access team plays a critical role in making this vision a reality—ensuring that innovative medicines reach patients through evidence-driven access strategies.
Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Lead Health Economics & Access Evidence role will make an impact:
1. You will be at the forefront of translating science into access. You will design and deliver robust evidence packages that support HTA bodies and payer decisions
2. Shape global access strategies by designing and driving health economic and evidentiary approaches for HTA and payer submissions
3. Lead evidence generation including cost-effectiveness models, budget impact analyses, and outcomes research
4. Drive integrated evidence planning, ensuring global and local market needs are reflected early in development
5. Partner cross-functionally with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Commercial, and Regulatory teams
6. Translate complexity into impact by communicating value propositions clearly to internal leaders and external stakeholders
7. Bring innovation into methodologies and continuously strengthen Viatris’ evidence foundation for future HTA requirements
About Your Skills & Experience
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
8. Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD or Master’s) in Health Economics, Epidemiology, Statistics, Public Health, Life Sciences or similar
9. Proven experience (5+ years) in pharma or a related field with exposure to market access, HEOR, or evidence generation
10. Strong expertise in HTA requirements and payer evidence, with hands-on experience in successful submissions
11. Solid experience in health economic modelling (e.g. cost-effectiveness, budget impact) and evidence synthesis
12. Working knowledge of R and/or Python, plus advanced Excel skills
13. Ability to thrive in a matrix organization, influence stakeholders, and drive alignment globally
14. A curious, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation in evidence generation
