Job Overview
In this internship, you will contribute to Research and Development projects to further improve and maintain our competitiveness. Reporting to the head of Fluid Mechanics, you will support the team in improving fluid mechanic simulation tools and processes. You will significantly contribute by automating processes, validating simulation data with measurement results, and implementing new simulation tools.
You will be part of the Technology (R&D) organization and gain valuable insights into the design and verification of turbocharging solutions for engines above 500kW.
Your Responsibilities
Collaborate with R&D team members to validate existing simulations or develop new modules within the process.
Perform and evaluate CFD or CHT simulation for turbocharging systems, compressors, turbines, bearings, or cooling channels.
Set up and run automatic optimization projects using genetic algorithms.
Support the team in multiple tasks, including parameter studies, comparison of software tools, simulation process automation, and standardization.
Add value by bringing in your own ideas.
Document results.
Your Background
Ongoing studies in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer-Aided Engineering, or a related discipline.
