Cyber Security Engineer
For our client, a leading IT service provider based in Bern, we are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer for a permanent position.
Responsibilities
* Develop, plan and implement state-of-the‑art cyber security solutions and put them into operation directly at our customers' sites.
* Create and present well thought‑out security and solution concepts and turn them into reality with innovative technologies.
* Act as a competent consultant in the field of cyber security and convince our customers with your expertise.
* Support and advise our sales team in the preparation of offers, and actively participate in the presales phase to offer tailor‑made solutions.
* Contribute your expertise to our company and make a significant contribution to the further development of our cyber security services and solutions with your creative and innovative ideas.
* Take on responsibility for on‑call and on‑call duty (approx. 5 weeks per year) and ensure maximum safety for our customers.
* Work with our CSIRT and Operations team depending on the situation and support them with your in‑depth know‑how.
Qualifications
* Higher education (HF, FH, Uni/ETH) in the field of computer science or a comparable qualification.
* Several years of experience in the cyber security environment and solid knowledge in the field of networking.
* In‑depth knowledge of the products and technologies of leading manufacturers, ideally from Check Point, Fortinet, F5 or Cisco.
* Enthusiastic about cyber security solutions and have the appropriate manufacturer or general security certifications, or are motivated to acquire them.
* See further training as an opportunity and want to continuously develop yourself.
* Feel comfortable in your role as a cyber security expert, and see presentations at customers or events as an exciting opportunity to share your knowledge.
* Service‑oriented team player with initiative.
* Used to working on different projects at the same time and keeping track of things.
* Fascinated by new technologies, and enjoy familiarizing yourself with new topics.
* Approach tasks in an organized and independent manner and implement projects efficiently and at a high level.
* Understand Swiss German, have a very good knowledge of German (C1/C2) and have very good written and spoken English skills.
* Have a category B driving licence and are flexible for our locations in DE‑CH.
