IT Bank Project Manager IBM AIX
We are looking for an IBM AIX specialist (m, f, d) for an international bank in Zurich.
Responsibilities
Jointly responsible for the operation and support of the core infrastructure using IBM Power systems and AIX operating systems.
Development, implementation, and maintenance of AIX-based enterprise systems, as well as the further development of Linux and Unix systems and the associated underlying infrastructure.
Project management on the open-source IT automation platform “Ansible” for system configuration, software deployment, and workflow orchestration.
Participation in the design and implementation of projects to further differentiate the existing infrastructure.
Second‑level support, including on‑call duty.
Ensuring compliance with security policies, backup strategies, and change management procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
ITIL certifications are a plus.
Strong knowledge of a bank’s core infrastructure and the major Unix/Linux distributions: IBM AIX, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), or Solaris.
Familiar with storage technologies such as memory, disk arrays, NAS/SAN, GPFS, including the IBM PowerVM virtualization environment, and knowledge of database concepts such as maintenance, recovery, failover, and high availability.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Shell, Python, YAML.
Experience as a Unix/Linux systems administrator.
Analytical personality with an interest in project management and problem‑solving.
Service-oriented mindset and interest in interacting with stakeholders.
Interest in a structured, independent work style with the ability to remain focused under pressure.
German and English language skills.
