Tasks Manage a well-established proprietary trading desk (5 FTE) focused on European physical and financial energy markets (power, gas, emissions)
Oversee a relevant origination book (FLOW) deriving from sales and trading counterparties
Generate substantial margins from speculative activities. Maximize return on VaR, while complying with assigned limits (VaR, trailing stop loss, credit, cash flow)
Foster knowledge sharing and collaboration with Repower's Trading Desk in Milan
Support Repower's Asset Trading team and Portfolio Management with fundamental views and market insights
Liaise with Risk Management and Back Office for optimizing credit risk management, cash collateral and FX
Develop ongoing knowledge and expertise in all markets where Repower is active and pursue new market opportunities
Operational maintenance of all market access services for internal and external clients, coordination with vendors and collaboration in the development of new trading services
Participation in trading projects
Requirements 10+ years' experience in energy trading in European markets on a proprietary basis (Gas & Power)
Proven track record of achieving successful and consistent proprietary trading results
Previous experience in leading trading teams as Trading Manager or Lead Trader
Extensive network of contacts within European commodity trading
Knowledge of a programming language such as Python is an asset
Willingness to learn Italian language (and ideally German)
Willingness to relocate to Poschiavo, Switzerland
