The Laboratory of Advanced Materials Processing (LAMP) is a multidisciplinary unit focusing on the functional modification of materials through beam and plasma processes, integrating additive manufacturing, laser micro‑processing, multiscale modelling and AI/ML for quality monitoring and control. It develops novel materials, provides full‑cycle technology development, and offers nanostructured materials for integration into devices.
Your tasks
* Operation of different laser platforms
* Conceptualization and setup of optical systems
* Hardware synchronization and data acquisition
* Conduction of experimental campaigns, evaluation of results and reporting
Your profile
* PhD degree in Physics/Photonics/Engineering or equivalent
* Experience with laser applications (measuring, processing, etc.), optical system design, assembly and usage
* Skills: Hands‑on experimental mindset, strong understanding of laser and optical physics, strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills, experience with data analysis and experimental optimisation
* English, French and German as a plus
