Development Engineer for Pressure Systems (m/f/d)
GF Industry and Infrastructure Flow Solutions, a division of GF, is the world's leading supplier of piping systems. The team focuses on developing fittings and regulating valves that ensure safe transport of drinking water from source to end user.
Your tasks
* Develop new products and product improvements based on customer needs, market requirements, and technical specifications, while balancing functionality, quality, cost, and time-to-market.
* Design and develop components, assemblies, and prototypes using CAD software (Siemens NX).
* Create and maintain technical documentation, design records, specifications, drawings, and test reports.
* Support continuous improvement and technical lifecycle management of the existing product portfolio.
* Plan, coordinate, and execute verification and validation activities, including prototype design, test setup definition, and functional testing.
* Analyze test data, derive technical conclusions, and implement findings into the final product design.
Your profile
* Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, materials engineering, plastics engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
* Have at least 5 years of experience in an R&D, product development, or engineering environment.
* Have experience in the development of mechanical components or fluid-handling products; experience with valves, fittings, pressure systems, or plastic components is an advantage.
* Have good CAD skills, preferably with Siemens NX.
* Have experience with simulation, data analysis, or MATLAB, which is an asset.
* Be proactive, able to take initiative, assume ownership, and drive topics forward independently.
* Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a hands-on approach to prototype testing and validation.
* Have good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams.
* Have professional-level English and German language skills.
