The incumbent will be mainly responsible for the daily and monthly booking of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries into JD Edwards. He will be responsible for developing and promoting accounting tools and processes in order to provide best practices in terms of efficiency and compliance with local (CO) and (IFRS) standards. He might have to work for different entities within the Oryx Energies group, such as Nyala Shipping SA or another entity as Accountant.Join a dynamic team where your expertise will directly contribute to shaping our financial responsibilities: daily general ledger entries and booking of invoices into AP/AR, preparing payments, booking of bank movements and bank payments, ensuring monthly, quarterly, and annual closure of the accounts to a professional standard regarding speed, accuracy, and compliance with financial regulations. Timely and correctly adhering to local tax filing requirements by studying and assembling for annual tax filings and monthly tax payments. Identify and implement with IT potential developments allowing for more efficiency in accounting and controlling. Utilise and maintain the JD Edwards General Ledger system in an efficient manner, ensuring computer systems practices within the oil industry conform to group policy and are relevant to current standards. Be able to proactively develop new accounting processes and improve existing ones. Share insights with management and manage auditors during interim audits of the entities with accounting responsibilities. Know-how and experience required: external auditor experience, 5 years of experience with 2 companies, ideally in a trading or shipping company in an environment with many intercompany transactions, and very good knowledge of Swiss accounting. Chartered Specialist in Accounting and Financial Management, Federal Diploma (Spécialiste en finance et comptabilité avec brevet fédéral) would be a plus. Experience with group and IFRS standards is essential. An advanced level of Excel knowledge is a must-have as this role will involve working with very complex Excel files. Fluency in French and English is required. Knowledge of Oracle JD Edwards or similar ERP systems is needed. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills: able to work with all levels of the organization across functional and cultural boundaries, effectively partnering with colleagues remotely.
