Within the 'Site Network Basel/Kaiseraugst' organisation, we work together with our stakeholders to develop tailor-made solutions in the 'Business Solutions' cluster. As a process engineer, you will work in the 'Business Solutions' cluster and specifically in the 'Pharma Engineering Solutions' group at the Basel/Kaiseraugst site. At the Basel/Kaiseraugst site, we are responsible for collaborative operational and project engineering.You will also be responsible for existing and new galenic production facilities for commercial and clinical production that are integrated into the Roche infrastructure. The process facilities you will be responsible for have a very high degree of automation and are closely networked with each other and with higher-level IT systems.
The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background with a degree (university of applied sciences/technical university) in pharmaceutical engineering/mechanical engineering/process engineering and at least 5 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry with solid experience in the GMP area. Very good written and spoken German and good written and spoken English are required.
Main tasks and areas of responsibility: - Operational engineering
* Operational engineering with the aim of ensuring that production is maintained at all times
* Strategy and maintenance of plants during their life cycle
• Partnership-based cooperation with interfaces
* Supporting our internal customers with technical questions, defining and initiating investment projects, and assisting with regulatory inspections
* Continuously optimising process plants and evaluating, testing and recommending new technologies
* Managing plant documentation in the respective systems
* Recording orders (SAP) - Operations engineering
* Operations engineering with the aim of ensuring that production is maintained at all times
* Strategy and maintenance of plants throughout their lifecycle
* Collaborative partnership with interfaces
* Support for our internal customers in technical matters, in defining and initiating investment projects, and in inspections by authorities
* Continuous optimisation of process plants and evaluation, testing and recommendation of new technologies
* Management of plant documentation in the respective systems
* Recording of orders (SAP)
Project engineering:
• Management and execution of projects in all project phases, such as initiation, design and implementation (independently and with the support of internal and external specialists)
* Tracking and maintenance of project data in the respective systems (SAP)
Must-haves:
* Basic technical training with a degree (university of applied sciences/technical university) in pharmaceutical engineering, mechanical engineering or process engineering
* At least 5 years of professional experience in operational engineering and in the management of investment projects
* Experience as a project manager is an advantage
* In-depth understanding of GMP and the requirements of process plants and package units
* Ability to work in a team and very good communication and coordination skills within the organisation, as well as appropriate interaction with stakeholders at all levels
* Willingness to work in an agile, self-organised working environment
* Fluent written and spoken German and English
