Software Development Specialist – Automation
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
* Develop and maintain PLC software (mainly Rockwell & Siemens), SCADA, and customized HMI applications.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, vendors, and plant personnel to ensure successful design, integration, and commissioning of automated equipment.
* Analyze controls data to drive continuous improvement and increase equipment efficiency.
* Troubleshoot automation issues and propose technical improvements for existing systems.
* Configure and manage industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet, EtherCAT).
* Support robot‑based systems and integration with peripheral devices.
* Perform machine start‑up, testing, operator training, and on‑site support.
* Travel up to 40%, both domestically and internationally.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
* Degree in Mechatronics, Electronic, Biomedical, or Automation Engineering.
* 3–5 years of experience in machine controls and PLC programming; experience in healthcare manufacturing is a plus.
* Strong knowledge of automation principles, servo systems, electrical/pneumatic design, industrial vision systems, and robot software (Staubli, ABB, Fanuc).
* Familiarity with ISO/ANSI/GAMP5 standards and CFR21 Part 11.
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
* English B2 minimum; Italian required for the Campo site.
