Your Responsibilities
1. You design and optimize components, assemblies, and systems with a focus on technical, scheduling, and financial constraints
2. You create 3D models using CAD, including surface modeling for casting parts
3. You produce and correct 2D drawings with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
4. You develop 2D and 3D visualizations to support technical communication and presentations
5. You perform basic component calculations using FEM or analytical methods
6. You manage product lifecycle data in PLM systems, including BOM creation and lifecycle promotion
7. You collaborate across departments within the project environment
8. You define tolerance requirements for Defence-specific components
9. You work closely with suppliers to clarify technical specifications and co-develop components
10. You contribute to FMEA and support the FRACAS process through troubleshooting and design improvements
11. You act as the design referent for selected components across all engine platforms
12. You support patent analysis, technical guideline implementation, and knowledge sharing within the Defence design team
Your Profile
13. You hold a degree in mechanical engineering or automotive manufacturing from a university or technical college
14. You have extensive experience in Defence combustion engine design, including lightweight and high-speed applications
15. You are familiar with special materials and have knowledge of Defence standards such as MIL-STD 882 and 810
16. You have a solid understanding of combustion engines and military powertrain systems, with practical experience in FMEA and FRACAS processes
17. You are able to interpret simulation results in 1D, CFD, FEA, and NVH, and have a good command of CAD tools
18. You work autonomously with commitment and flexibility, showing a structured and organized work ethic
19. You demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and work effectively in multicultural teams
20. You bring an innovative mindset and a goal-oriented approach
21. You are fluent in English and German, with ideally a good command of French
