Optimizing therapeutic protein purification processes in biotechnology requires a unique blend of scientific expertise, technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
The position involves planning and managing operational activities in downstream manufacturing, including tech transfer support, material planning, document and electronic batch record preparation, training and troubleshooting or deviation handling.
As a functional lead for an interdisciplinary team of production personnel, supervisors and specialists, you will be accountable for the performance and results of assigned projects.
Key responsibilities include guiding and supporting commercial manufacturing in defined DSP areas, such as capture, intermediate purification, polishing or drug substance filling.
You will ensure efficient operation of single-use and/or stainless steel equipment for the purification of therapeutic proteins from mammalian expression systems.
A strong background in bioprocessing and experience in chromatography, ultra- and diafiltration, and final filling is essential.
Excellent communication skills in English are required, with good knowledge of MES/DeltaV system being a plus.
A well-structured and organized working attitude, along with solution-oriented approach and open-mindedness to new ideas, is highly valued.
* Bachelor's, Master's degree or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry or related Life Science subject.
* Significant work experience (>5 years) in Downstream Processing Manufacturing in the biotech/biopharma industry.
* In-depth knowledge of downstream processing techniques.
* Excellent GMP understanding.
* Good knowledge of MES/DeltaV system is a plus.
