We are looking for a Plant & Maintenance Engineer to join our Life Sciences expert teams in Visp on a permanent contract as a consultant and support the on-site execution and coordination of maintenance and small technical projects in a cGMP biotech/pharma manufacturing environment.
Your Responsibilities
* Ensure proper and cost‑effective maintenance execution while maintaining sufficient equipment availability, including interaction with authorities.
* Prepare and coordinate maintenance activities together with internal workshops.
* Technical project leadership for sub‑projects and small projects to optimize and implement processes, equipment, and internal workflows.
* Issue work orders, conduct technical‑commercial evaluations, capacity planning to optimize equipment and personnel utilization.
* Monitor and comply with the available budget (maintenance, production changes, and investments).
* Update and verify equipment documentation such as P&IDs, zoning and layout plans, bill of materials, and change management according to cGMP.
* Train equipment operators and workshop staff regarding process and equipment knowledge as well as safety, hygiene, environment, and quality (cGMP).
Your Profile
* University degree (Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering) or University of Applied Sciences degree (FH)/Technical School (HF).
* Professional experience, ideally in biotech/pharma.
* Good knowledge of GMP; knowledge of COMOS (Plant Engineering Software) and SAP is a plus.
* Independent and flexible working style, strong team spirit and communication skills.
* Structured, focused, and well‑organized.
* Solution‑oriented and open to new ideas.
* Fluent in German and good English skills.
