Global Marketing Innovation Manager – Voltaren
Role Description
The role of the Marketing Innovation Manager is to deliver a full, balanced and consistent flow of consumer-relevant and scientifically differentiated innovation into the global pipeline to meet Voltaren growth and innovation objectives. You will actively drive Voltaren innovation pipeline and projects and ensure broad understanding through planning documents and personal interactions with Business Units and cross-functional partners.
The role holder will be accountable for validating the desirability, feasibility and viability of innovation projects to prioritize and resource them for development through the stage & gate process, as well as driving delivery to launch. The role focuses on embedding innovation culture, design thinking, and superiority frameworks to accelerate and enhance innovation quality.
This requires a broad understanding of the entire innovation and development process across multiple functions, leadership and influencing skills, excellent commercial savvy, and high levels of creativity, problem-solving, and entrepreneurship. The role requires comfort working in an ambiguous, dynamic, fast-paced, global healthcare environment.
This role will include the following responsibilities:
* Identifies, assesses, and advances key innovation opportunities into the development pipeline following proof of concept, measured by pipeline size and quality, and opportunity volume and size.
* Partners closely with consumer insights to ensure early technical consumer understanding focused on “consumer first”, and works with business development to build relationships and joint development structures.
* Serves as a strategic partner for R&D in setting innovation objectives, priorities, and partnerships to enable long-term, innovation-driven growth.
* Participates in cross-category sharing of scientific and consumer opportunities, breaking down silos and ensuring innovation across the category.
* Works closely with the Global design team, FEI team, CBIA, and other partners to embed and grow innovation capabilities.

* Undergraduate degree
* 5-10 years of experience
* Knowledge of the pharma and FMCH/FMCG industries, and broader consumer and macro trends (economic, demographic, regulatory)
* Passion for innovation and excellence in results, especially in regulated environments
* Exceptional leadership to set vision, drive execution, and inspire markets worldwide
* Strong alignment and influence skills in a complex matrix
* Pragmatic, motivated by execution and setting direction

Preferred experience includes:
* Understanding of delivering OTC innovation to the marketplace and related challenges
* Partnership experience with R&D, Regulatory, Product Development, Supply Chain for product design and development
* Experience with consumer insight-focused global healthcare products or brand management
* Experience working with External Innovation and Business Development for evaluating external opportunities, including due diligence
