As a Digital Content Integration Assistant, you will be part of the Homo Faber Guide team at the Michelangelo Foundation.
Homo Faber Guide is a curated digital platform which maps exceptional craftsmanship around the world. Launched in 2020, this free online tool allows users to explore travel destinations through contemporary craft, find craft addresses, create city itineraries and connect directly with artists and makers to buy objects, place commissions or partake in experiences.
Presented by the Michelangelo Foundation, the platform showcases thousands of talented artisans, from glass blowers to mask makers, paper sculptors to silversmiths. Newly selected makers appear weekly, and new countries are added throughout the year.
To publish new artisan profiles weekly and maintain existing ones, the Digital Content Integration Assistant adheres to team processes, supports the team in addressing challenges, and proactively suggests improvements.
Responsibilities
Data Integration and Control on Salesforce (50%): Upload and integrate new and updated contents on Salesforce and ensure coherence and quality; follow internal guidelines; be vigilant on GPS coordinates; prepare and control all data for each profile; ensure data meets Homo Faber Guide publication requirements; liaise with internal and external stakeholders; collect missing data from artisans or contributors.
Pictures and Banners: Strictly follow picture selection, upload according to requirements, copyrights, naming policy; integrate carousel pictures, select safe area; edit and resize visual content to meet web and quality criteria; create, edit, and schedule ads banners on desktop and mobile using the CMS.
Homo Faber Guide Objects: Once edited by the Editor, manually synchronize objects for each artisan profile before publication; integrate artisans’ objects text and pictures for new objects and changes; participate in weekly objects changes meeting.
Follow-up: Anticipate and organize works and content to respect publication planning; ensure quality on live publications; answer demands and questions of stakeholders.
Platform Maintenance (15%): Test platform, report bugs, ensure proper functioning in collaboration with Digital Project Manager and Database Coordinator; perform data cleaning and enrichment on Salesforce.
Homo Faber Guide Mailbox Follow-up (15%): Read and answer 100% of emails; gather answers with the team; inform artisans of publication 10 days prior and follow up on publication day with toolkit.
Image Library Database Management – OCP (20%): Rename photo and video assets for upload; upload assets with metadata (captions, criteria, copyrights, rights) according to classification and processes; ensure classification meets needs of Communication Department and Image and Content Department.
Required Skills
* Qualified media technician (‘mediamaticien’) with a CFC.
* 1–2 years of experience in a digital environment, including database management and image uploading.
* Familiar with digital asset management systems and Salesforce.
* Computer proficiency: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, InDesign, Bridge.
* Fluent in English, French, and Italian (asset).
* Rigorous, well‑organised, precise, and detail‑oriented.
* Team‑player, supporting collective achievements.
