Job Description Summary
Location: Rotkreuz, Switzerland | #LI-Hybrid
Purpose of the role:
Develop and implement pricing and reimbursement strategies to ensure fast, broad, and sustainable access to Novartis products across the portfolio. Identify and address access barriers in Switzerland by building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, creating value for patients, the Healthcare System, and Novartis.
This role reports directly to the Lead Market Access and is part of the Market Access Team.
Job Description
Major Accountabilities
1. Develop and execute pricing and reimbursement strategies aligned with local leadership and regional/global teams.
2. Prepare and submit reimbursement dossiers to national authorities, maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
3. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, securing necessary resources and endorsement from local leadership.
4. Collaborate with HEOR for pharmacoeconomic modeling to accurately demonstrate product value locally.
5. Understand stakeholder needs, the competitive environment, and P&R landscape; contribute early to product development, strategies, and business decisions.
6. Identify data gaps in collaboration with HEOR, Medical, and Market Access teams, addressing them effectively.
7. Maintain and update P&R tools and systems for accurate data handling and processes.
8. Build networks with key stakeholders to develop reimbursement solutions, address access hurdles, and demonstrate product value.
9. Monitor legislative impacts and collaborate with External Affairs to influence policies and industry standards beneficial to the business.
Candidate Requirements:
* Degree in Natural Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Healthcare, Business/Economics, or equivalent.
* Proficiency in English and German; French is an advantage.
* 2-4 years of relevant experience in Pharma, Life Sciences, or Health Insurance sectors.
* Understanding of the pharmaceutical market, healthcare systems, and drug reimbursement processes.
* Knowledge of health economic evaluation methods.
* Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Ability to build trust-based relationships with government officials, insurers, and stakeholders.
