The role drives core priorities including quality, service, safety, reliability, and cost to ensure an optimized and resilient supply chain. The incumbent ensures product availability, delivers high-quality products at the lowest total cost of ownership, and maximizes partnership value through fit-for-purpose contractual agreements, structured account management processes, and cross-functional collaboration. The role also organizes, designs, and allocates responsibilities across the organization to enable strong execution and support the strategic objectives of the Janssen Supply Chain and the Global Small Molecule Platform.
Key Focus Areas

Account Management: Lead the relationship with Kenvue across all IMSC nodes within the Synthetics Manufacturing Platform. Drive execution of product transfers, line extensions, and supply chain optimization.
Transition Services: Lead development and execution of Transition Services Agreements (TSA) and Transition Manufacturing Agreements (TMA) with Kenvue to support seamless business separation and product supply continuity.

Responsibilities

Tactical Execution of Manufacturing Business Objectives: Align and deploy resources across sites to meet short- and long-term demand requirements, including obligations under transition manufacturing agreements and IMSC commercial needs.
Assess internal and external manufacturing capacity and capabilities to ensure demand plans can be met across all manufacturing nodes.
Build and strengthen strategic supplier relationships through performance reviews, data analysis, compliance oversight, and end-to-end value optimization.
Drive innovation across supplier and operational partnerships.

Strategy
Influence and support the J&J strategy by contributing to IMSC, MTO Operations, Process and Network Councils, and Product Development groups as applicable.
People Leadership

Lead and develop a team of Associate Directors and Directors through performance management, development planning, coaching, and engagement.
Demonstrate leadership behaviors including talent attraction and development, accountability, collaboration, transparency, and an inclusive, high-performance culture.
Deliver on all compliance, supply, financial, and strategic commitments.

Partnership Management and Escalation

Serve as the primary liaison between Kenvue, IMSC, and Commercial teams, ensuring alignment and execution of product supply objectives.
Interface with Kenvue leadership to align on compliance, reliability, service, and cost expectations.
Support Procurement in establishing and maintaining supply agreements and contracts, ensuring accountability and compliance across all parties.

Requirements

Education: Master’s degree in Science required; PhD or MBA preferred.
Experience: 15+ years in general manufacturing (pharmaceutical, chemical, biologics, or other regulated industries) and business management (business development or procurement).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Contract negotiation and legal considerations
Broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
Strong understanding of EHS&S and GMP requirements
High proficiency in supplier management and external manufacturing oversight
Influence without authority at all levels, including senior leadership
Leadership, talent development, and team-building capabilities
Cross-functional leadership in complex, multi-company, multicultural environments
Strategic thinking, risk management, and adaptability to change



Preferred

Credibility with internal customers and external manufacturers/suppliers
Experience leading major change initiatives, including strategic design and implementation

Other

Up to 25% domestic and/or international travel may be required.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs which are country specific. The compensation and benefits information set forth in this posting applies to candidates hired in the United States. Candidates hired outside the United States will be eligible for compensation and benefits in accordance with their local market.
In the United States
Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus. The bonus is a cash incentive for achieving annual targeted results. The anticipated base pay range for this position is $173,000 to $299,000.
Employees and/or eligible dependents may participate in company-sponsored benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and group legal insurance. Eligible to participate in the company’s retirement plan (pension) and 401(k).
Paid time off includes: Vacation, Sick time, Holiday pay, and Personal/Family time. Further details are available via the company benefits site.
