Job Description Summary
To lead the commissioning of the GE Plant Controls System (Mark VIe) for Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP) and ensure planning, preparation and execution of the commissioning, operation, trial run and acceptance.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Prepare and execute the commissioning, trial run, acceptance testing, and inspection/measurements works defined by the Commissioning Manager
* Manage, perform, coordinate, and monitor the commissioning of systems safely and timely
* Perform pre-checks, energize MKVIe control system, review logic, verify against engineering documents, report issues, and troubleshoot hardware/software problems
* Tune and optimize plant performance according to operational and contractual requirements
* Lead a team of ICS Commissioning Engineers and technicians in field activities like loop checks, calibration, troubleshooting, and testing instrumentation
* Organize and supervise safe plant operation from system turnover to COD, in coordination with the Commissioning Manager
* Facilitate system handovers from installation to commissioning and to the customer per current procedures
* Ensure documentation of commissioning activities, quality records, and feedback
* Handover documentation and software to the Commissioning Manager
* Report and follow up on deviations with appropriate documentation
* Maintain logs and diaries of daily activities, issues, and pending items
* Implement EHS procedures including method statements, risk analyses, safety walks, and toolbox talks
Qualifications/Requirements
* Extensive experience in commissioning and knowledge of GE Mark VIe Controls System and CCPP processes, including PID tuning
* Knowledge of communication protocols: Modbus, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Willing to travel worldwide for long-term assignments (100%)
* Fluent in English, both spoken and written
* Engineering degree from an accredited university
