Senior Human Factors Engineer Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Human Factors Engineer to join our team.
About the Role:
The Global Customer Experience and Solution Design Team is looking for a passionate Senior Human Factors Engineer to redefine User Interface and Product design, transforming the Healthcare industry for the better. As part of this team, you will collaborate with international designers who bring customer voices to the core of our decisions, designing seamless patient-centric experiences across our portfolio of products and services.
Responsibilities:
* Represent patients and users in product-related discussions.
* Identify user profiles, tasks, hazard-related use scenarios, usability risks, and requirements.
* Translate UX research insights, user needs, business requirements, and technical requirements into pleasant and efficient User Experiences.
* Develop medical device usability deliverables according to IEC 62366.
* Facilitate workshops with product teams to gather system-level information and coordinate design deliverables.
* Plan formative and summative usability studies and coordinate external suppliers.
* Prepare, maintain, and review Usability Engineering Files.
* Advocate for accessibility, quality, and usability for end-users.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers supporting their professional development, output, and productivity.
Requirements:
* Degree in Science, Industrial Engineering, Human Factors Engineering, or a related technical field.
* 5 years of experience in applied Human Factors Engineering and Design Control Management.
* Experience in Usability Engineering for medical devices (hardware and software).
* Expertise in planning, executing, and documenting usability studies in the medical field.
* Knowledge of collecting and analyzing physiological and behavioral data.
* Proficiency in the IEC 62366 standard and the latest FDA guidance on human factors engineering.
* Good knowledge of ISO 14971 and IEC 62304 would be beneficial.
* Fluency in English.
