For our client, a leading international company in the life sciences sector based in Basel, we are seeking a proactive individual to fill the role of Process Engineer (m/f/d). In this role, you will work in a modern, agile environment within the Development/Galenics department and be responsible for collaborative operational and project engineering.
They manage highly automated galenic production facilities for commercial and clinical production, which are strongly networked with higher-level IT systems.
General information:
* Start: April 1, 2026 (no later than June 1, 2026)
* Duration: 1 year (extension likely)
* Workplace: Basel
* Remote/Home Office: Up to 20% (1 day per week) possible by arrangement
* Travel: Occasional (depending on the project and location)
Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Project & operational support: Efficient planning, qualification and commissioning of pharmaceutical parenteral plants.
* Compliance & Documentation: Creation, review and approval of project, qualification and HSE documentation (safety, health, environmental protection).
* Standard assurance: Ensuring the current state of the art and compliance with internal and regulatory GMP and SGU guidelines.
* Technology Innovation: Evaluation and recommendation of new technologies in the field of parenteral processes.
* Stakeholder management: Proactive support of internal clients in defining investment projects, including cost and schedule planning.
* Project management: Taking responsibility for technical solutions, budgets and deadlines in an agile environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Education: Basic technical training with a completed degree in natural sciences (University of Applied Sciences/Technical University), e.g. process engineering, pharmaceutical engineering or a comparable field.
* Professional experience: At least 3 years of sound experience in the design and operational engineering of pharmaceutical plants.
* Expertise: In-depth understanding of GMP requirements and the process engineering aspects of package units in the field of sterile filling of liquid products .
* Working style: Strong willingness and enjoyment of working in an agile, self-organized team without traditional hierarchical structures.
* Languages: Fluent German and good English skills, both spoken and written.
