Job Description
The Trainee / Junior P&O Assistant supports the People & Organization function by providing efficient administrative and coordination support across the entire employee lifecycle. The role focuses on P&O administration, data accuracy, and first‑level employee support while ensuring compliance with Swiss labor regulations and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
P&O Administration
Support the administration of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding.
Prepare employment-related documentation such as contracts, amendments, confirmations, and employment certificates.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HR systems and personnel files.
Support time and attendance administration, absence management, and leave tracking.
Payroll & Benefits Support
Assist with monthly payroll preparation by verifying P&O data and employee changes.
Support the administration of social insurance processes (AHV/AVS, ALV/AC, pension fund, accident insurance).
Employee Support
Act as a first point of contact for employees regarding basic HR and administrative questions.
Provide guidance on P&O procedures, internal policies, and employee benefits.
Support onboarding activities, including documentation, system access, and induction coordination.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure P&O administration complies with Swiss labor law and internal guidelines.
Support P&O audits, reporting activities, and data requests.
Maintain confidentiality and handle personal data in line with GDPR and Swiss FADP requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Completed commercial apprenticeship (KV) or equivalent education; HR Assistant certification required.
Fluent in German and English is mandatory; Italian and French are considered a plus.
Strong analytical skills with a passion for IT systems and digital tools.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing administrative tasks and data.
Basic understanding of Swiss employment law and HR processes.
Experience with P&O systems and MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
Service‑oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Structured, reliable, and proactive approach to work.
Willingness to learn and develop within the P&O field.
Seniority Level
Trainee: fresh graduate or recently obtained HR certification with basic professional experience.
Junior: recently obtained HR certification with 1‑2 years of relevant professional experience.
Contract Type
Fixed‑term contract (12 months).
At the end of the contractual period, subject to positive performance and business needs, the successful candidate may receive a permanent employment offer.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary
Trainee P&O Assistant: CHF 54 000 gross per year.
Junior P&O Assistant: CHF 71 500 gross per year.
Additional Benefits
Lunch allowance: CHF 250 gross per month.
Public transport allowance: CHF 100 gross per month.
Location
Primary Location: CH – Wetzikon.
Working Arrangement
Hybrid Working: Onsite.
