Job Summary
We are seeking a curious and driven individual to join our Engineering and Data Science team as a Machine Learning Engineer. This role will support the development of Fenris’ predictive modeling capabilities, helping insurers make faster, smarter decisions. The role involves a variety of tasks, including designing and training machine learning models, working with large datasets, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to deploy real-world solutions. The specific responsibilities will vary based on client needs and company priorities, but generally include building production-grade models, enhancing data pipelines, and contributing to the overall success of Fenris’ data-driven products.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deploy machine learning models to support core insurance use cases such as risk assessment, lead scoring, customer retention, and quoting optimization.
Qualifications
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* 3+ years of experience in a machine learning engineering or applied data science role.
* Hands-on experience with deploying models to production in real-time or batch environments.
* Experience working with large structured datasets; familiarity with SQL and data pipeline tools is a plus.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insight.
* Prior experience in insurtech, fintech, or other regulated industries is strongly preferred.
