To support the Technical Services management, the Municipality of Orbe is advertising a position for:
Project Manager for Road Network and Infrastructure at 100%
Active within the Technical Services and directly reporting to the head of service, you will manage projects related to the municipal road network and associated infrastructure. You will actively participate in the planning, development, maintenance, and enhancement of the municipal assets, while contributing to considerations related to mobility, road safety, and the development of public spaces.
Main responsibilities
* Manage construction, redevelopment, and refurbishment projects of the municipal road network and associated infrastructure.
* Oversee studies and implementation, monitor contractors, and coordinate the various stakeholders and municipal services.
* Prepare municipal reports, technical reports, credit requests, subsidy applications, and documents intended for authorities.
* Ensure administrative, financial, and technical follow-up of projects respecting deadlines, budgets, and set objectives.
* Prepare and conduct public procurement procedures as well as monitor contracts and mandates.
* Participate in defining maintenance and renewal strategies for the municipal road assets.
* Incorporate mobility, safety, sustainability, and quality of public spaces considerations into projects.
* Represent the service to authorities, institutional partners, contractors, and the public.
* Respond to inquiries, motions, and proposals from the Municipal Council within your area of activity.
Your profile
* HES, EPF diploma or equivalent qualification in civil engineering.
* Proven experience in managing projects related to road infrastructure and networks, from studies to implementation.
* Good knowledge of technical standards and public procurement procedures.
* Specialisation or experience in mobility, urban planning, environment, or landscaping is an asset.
* Excellent analytical, organisational, and coordination skills.
* Strong writing skills and ease in communicating with diverse interlocutors.
* Initiative and a strong interest in public service.
