We are seeking a skilled Powerplant and Electrical Technician.
As an Powerplant and Electrical Technician at ANAVIA, you bring combined expertise in both electrical systems and mechanical systems, with particular focus on engines and powerplant ancillary equipment. This role requires hands‑on technical proficiency to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft electrical systems, avionics equipment, engines, and associated mechanical components. The ideal candidate will ensure aircraft airworthiness and operational readiness while adhering to all aviation safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
Key Tasks
* Remove, install, and replace engine components and assemblies following approved procedures
* Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair engine ancillary equipment including fuel systems, ignition systems, oil systems, and cooling systems
* Conduct engine ground runs and operational tests to verify proper function. Maintain and repair engine mounts, cowlings, exhaust systems, and air induction systems
* Monitor engine parameters and diagnose mechanical and performance issues. Handle fuel system maintenance including pumps, filters, lines, and tanks
Electrical Systems
* Install, inspect, test, adjust, and repair aircraft electrical systems including power generation, distribution, batteries, and wiring
* Test electrical components and assemblies using circuit testers, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and multimeters
* Assemble and install electrical components using hand tools and soldering equipment
* Perform system functional tests. Repair or replace defective electrical wiring, connectors, and electronic components
Documentation & Compliance
* Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and aircraft records in compliance with aviation regulations
* Ensure compliance with FAA/EASA airworthiness directives and service bulletins
Qualifications
* Education: Technical (Fachhochschule) diploma in aircraft maintenance, avionics, electrical systems, or mechanical engineering. Avionics training or certification or engine‑specific training certifications a plus. EASA Part‑66 license a plus.
* Experience: Minimum 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience maintaining aircraft electrical systems, engines, and mechanical components. Proven experience working on turbine or piston aircraft engines. Experience with aircraft electrical troubleshooting and avionics systems. Familiarity with helicopter systems (rotorcraft, turboshaft engines) is highly desirable. Experience in aerospace, aviation, or rotorcraft maintenance environments a plus.
* Skills: Working knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, power generation, and distribution. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. Solid mechanical aptitude with expertise in engine systems and fuel systems. Proficient use of electrical test equipment. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, precision measuring instruments. Familiar with aircraft maintenance and technical documentation.
* Safety and Regulatory: Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Strong attention to detail with systematic and methodical approach to troubleshooting. Understanding of fuel system safety procedures and handling practices. Working knowledge of relevant aviation regulations a plus.
* Physical: Capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and working in awkward positions for extended periods. Manual dexterity and fine motor skills for precision work with small components and soldering. Visual acuity to inspect components, read technical documents, and identify defects. Hearing ability sufficient to detect abnormal sounds during engine runs and equipment operation
