You will support the Fragrance & Beauty (F&B) division, especially the Ingredients Manufacturing Group, to achieve global biotech goals through your knowledge of Biotech Manufacturing Management, working with Science and Technology, manufacturing plants, partners, and customers. You will leverage biotech manufacturing expertise to contribute to our company’s global strategy.
You will report to the Head of Global F&B Ingredients Management. This role can be based in Vernier (Switzerland), Pomacle (France), Sant Celoni (Spain), or Pedro Escobedo (Mexico).
Responsibilities include:
Creating and defining the global biotech strategy in collaboration with F&B manufacturing and industrialization teams.
Supporting biotech industrialization and manufacturing strategy development and follow-up.
Acting as the Operations contact for biotech planning: footprint, capacities, technologies, and partnerships.
Ensuring effective interface with Givaudan functions for biotechnology support (fermentation, DSP, enzymes) to meet business and product goals.
Supporting project execution within the F&B Ingredients Manufacturing Team, including delineation, execution, and control.
Organizing and planning education, training, and staffing on biotechnology topics for operations.
Qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Engineering, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
Master's degrees or specialized training to complement background.
Over 15 years of experience in chemical manufacturing via biotransformation, fermentation, and DSP techniques.
In-depth knowledge of genomics, gene editing, agitation, oxygen transfer, heat transfer, scale-up, DSP design, and mass/energy balances.
Ability to communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
Proficiency with SAP as a user.
Fluency in English; French and Spanish are valuable.
