IT and Security Project Manager
Main Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a bridge between the security and IT teams, facilitating open and direct communication.
* Ensure the IT and security teams’ priorities are understood and respected across the organization.
* Advocate for the needs and requirements of the IT and security teams.
* Improve communication between security and IT teams.
* Serve as the link between both departments.
Process and Workflow Management:
* Work with IT teams to enhance their understanding and implementation of security best practices.
* Coordinate with relevant parties to conduct feasibility checks before commitments.
* Assist in streamlining workflows and accelerating follow-ups with IT change/digital teams.
* Manage major initiatives as projects, covering all related activities.
* Treat initiatives as projects with consistent tasks and follow-up activities.
Security and Vulnerability Management:
* Assist in identifying, assessing, tracking, and managing vulnerabilities.
* Collaborate with development teams to manage obsolescence and ensure secure coding components.
* Facilitate plans for upgrades or fixes upon vulnerability detection.
* Coordinate new vulnerabilities management for development teams.
* Promote new security standards and ensure training for security principles.
Strategy and Planning
* Provide visibility on IT and security strategy initiatives.
* Act as an escalation point to ensure tasks are completed.
* Monitor tools used within the bank and communicate their strategic value.
* Gather security requirements, explaining the rationale and implementation methods.
* Bridge gaps and challenge existing standards where necessary.
Reporting and Tracking:
* Oversee the use of Confluence/JIRA and SharePoint for logging vulnerabilities and remediation activities.
* Enhance visibility and follow-up activities among teams.
* Generate and analyze KPIs to monitor performance and improvements.
* Maintain dashboards and governance for security initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
* Strong understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
* Expertise in Cybersecurity and Access Management: Deep knowledge of security protocols, risk management, and access control systems.
* Proficiency with Security Tools: Experience with security platforms, endpoint protection, and identity management solutions.
* Workflow Coordination: Skilled in managing security processes within broader IT workflows.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Experience with JIRA, SharePoint, and other tracking tools.
* Ability to manage workflows and coordinate across teams.
* Knowledge of software development and vulnerabilities.
* Proficiency in generating and interpreting KPIs.
* Good technical background and transparent communication.
* Fluency in English and French.
