$16.49 - $17.38/hr
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
* High school diploma or equivalent
* 1-3 years’ work-related experience
Preferred
* Basic cashiering skills
* Knowledge of customer service principles
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Kitchen Helper is responsible for performing routine kitchen duties, such as the preparation and serving of breakfast and/or lunch to students and staff, dishwashing, general cashiering and cleaning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
* Preparation of food as directed by head cooks
* Set up serving lines
* Serve food to students and staff
* Keep service area and food dispensers cleaned and stocked
* Count/record the quantity of food sold on daily and weekly sheets
* Compile food and supply orders
* Receive money for cash sales in ala-cart line
* Assist with cleaning the kitchen, cooking equipment and entire serving area, including washing dishes with commercial dish‑machine
* Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL FACTORS:
* Frequent: walking, standing, sitting, hearing, talking, seeing, and repetitive motions
* Light Work: lifting up to 40 pounds and/or exerting up to 20 of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
